Some weaving photos

My latest work (I just took it off the loom, haven’t even twisted the fringe yet): It’s a 3/80 Nm 55/45 silk/cashmere yarn from Colourmart, color “Silver Fox”.  I had Richard wind four strands together, and used the quadrupled strand to warp/weave the fabric.  The warp is the original color, the weft I dyed black.  The [...]

I’ve just finished beaming on the warp [...]

Mt. Diablo, and some philosophy

Went up Mt. Diablo today, for a three-hour hilly ride (3000′ of climbing). I ran out of time before reaching the summit, though I did make it past the junction of South and North Gate. It didn’t help that I got lost for about half an hour before finding Mt. Diablo Scenic Road [...]
