Glad you are ok! The diesel VWs are very very nice. I have a Jetta and my husband a Golf- the Golf carries hatchback sized loads without complaint. The Jetta has a Sopranos-sized boot but a hatch is still better for that stuff. I would love a Prius but this is what I got this time and the Jetta is by far the nicest car I have ever had. Awesome fuel economy, goes like a rocket.

Oh Tien, so sorry to hear about Esmeralda. Glad you and everyone else is OK though!! Goodness! I love my Nissan Murano, but it's a SUV rather than a truck. Awesome room inside - it will haul a bunch of junk and then some! Best of luck car shopping......I don't envy ya there!! Suz/VA

It's a damn shame that Subaru doesn't make the Baja any more, because I cannot tell you how much unending love I have for that vehicle. Low profile, drives like an awesome car, but is like the subaru outback, but with an open bed. It's made all of my Master Naturalist volunteer work awesome and easy, and has been great for my personal use as well (bless it's dirt-and-plants hauling heart)

The other option that was fighting with the Subaru when I bought it was the Toyota Tacoma. The taco is a great multipurpose truck (not too big, not too small) that lasts and lasts. It gets pretty decent gas mileage as well. All of my volunteer buddies that have them love their tacos.

Hi Tien, glad to hear you are safe! I can't help you pick a vehicle, but I understand the following to be good resources once you do: www.carsdirect.com, Costco, local credit union for help pricing and negotiating, and also financing terms. Good luck!
