You are so right on about design principles! With weaving, we are working with color, structure, and fiber as the biggies that have to figure into the design process. That is enough to make anyone's mind boggle. Just in my weaving world of crackle, the permutations seem to be infinite and working out something beautiful seems almost to be luck. And in a sense, compjuterized weaving drawdowns really do not help because things change on the loom. And if you are creating something to be seen on the human body rather than an art piece, another biggie variable comes into play.
