Finished samples

I finished the samples!!  I wish you could feel the fabric…it has the sheen of satin, and a drape somewhere between brocade and a heavy crepe.  It’s beautiful!

On to the photos:

Obviously, I botched one of the transitions to background in the eternity knots (that’s what’s causing the vertical striping just to the left of each eternity knot) – I think I can correct that in the liftplan, so I’m going to do that and make another try tonight.  But overall I am very, very, very pleased with the fabric – it “reads” as a cream/ecru satin, glittery in the right light, but not so glittery the pattern doesn’t show.  Elegant.  I’m really looking forward to weaving this up!!

Tentatively, I think I like the medium scale best, but I’ll mull it over a bit  more.

They are beautiful! I agree with you and think the medium scale is the best pick.

Medium scale – 6 shaft broken twill is my vote. Do they all have about the same hand? Its coming out wonderfully!
