Networked rosepath, woven

Here’s a photo of the networked-rosepath draft I posted this morning, now on the loom/woven up:

doodle draft, treadling redrawn on a 4-shaft rosepath network, point twill threading with a twill tie-up

I really like this, and have already woven the first 16″.  At this rate, the three-yard minimum should be a breeze.

I’ve also decided to leave it as it stands – it’s beautiful, and also quite complex in itself.  Adding surface design techniques would merely be distracting.  And (as I keep reminding myself) not everything has to be blingy!

Elegant. I’m a sucker for household linens. This would be a lovely border for hand towels for the guest bathroom in your new house. Or, indulge yourself and make linen towels for yourself…

I can’t believe that’s only four shafts! How inspiring!

Oh, the draft is on 24 shafts. The 24-treadle treadling is on a 4-treadle rosepath network…for more detail, check out Alice Schlein’s book, Network Drafting.
