Studio cleanup

In order to kittenproof the house, I had to do some studio cleaning. Well, actually, quite a lot of cleaning. It took more than six hours of work to get to this:

One half of my studio
One half of my studio
The other half of my studio
The other half of my studio

I wish I’d taken “before” photos, because this probably looks messy to you. However, before I started, that table was piled three feet deep in Stuff, the area next to the closet was piled three feet deep in Stuff, and the space behind the dress form was piled two feet high in Stuff. Plus bonus Stuff on the computer desk, on the floor next to the lamp, and so forth. About a year’s worth of dust everywhere. (Nobody ever accused me of neatness.)

I’m not done kittenproofing yet, though – there is still a huge tangle of cords on and under my desk that needs to be addressed, and the piles of Stuff on the desk need to be organized (if not put away entirely). But I’m hoping to get some chocolate work done today as well.

Meanwhile, since a photo is worth a thousand words, a video must be worth a million words or so. So here is a short video of two kittens tussling:

I can only dream of ever being that organised….somehow I feel really lost without my stash spread out around me while I “create”. Well done Tien.
