Bleah. Rotten workout today.

Today was supposed to be a two-hour, higher-intensity workout, but it was all I could do to sustain the same power output as I had yesterday – felt tired and “out of gas” through the workout.  I did two ten-minute periods in Zone 4, but it was a major effort.  I think I might have pushed a little too hard yesterday.

Well, this week is a recovery week, so hopefully by the time I get back to long rides I’ll be rested and ready to go.  Hopefully I will also have managed to heal up this proto-saddle-sore I seem to be developing – going to keep a close eye on it for the next few days.

All in all, not an inspiring workout.  I hope next week goes better.

I have put two new tires on my bike and am looking into getting a cyclocomputer with an altimeter.  At the moment I’m eyeing the Polar 725X heart rate monitor and the HAC4+ cyclocomputer/heart rate monitor, but it’ll be awhile before I can buy either.
