It’s a used Leclerc Diana, a 16-shaft, 24″ table loom that comes with a stand that converts it into a floor loom. It’s computerized, so has an infinite number of treadles (or treadle equivalents), and no more crawling around on the floor tying up treadles! The only thing I’m going to miss is the extra 2″ of weaving width on the Baby Wolf – 24″ isn’t quite enough to guarantee me a 22.5″ wide fabric for weaving clothing – but other than that, I’m ecstatic. The owner is going to throw in a bunch of “extras”, too, like a sectional warp beam and an improved plain beam, bunches of shuttles, etc.
It won’t arrive for at least another two weeks, so I’ll continue weaving on the Baby Wolf until then, but I can’t wait to get it! Then I can do more complex weaving patterns. I’ll also have a fairly portable compu-dobby loom, in case I want to take it to workshops.
